Ontario Provincial Police officers are investigating after the body of a 15-year-old Milton boy was pulled out of the Trent-Severn Waterway, north of Lindsay, on Saturday.
Crews were dispatched to the area after they were contacted about a body that was floating in the water just west of Rosedale village.
Police say the boy had been staying with friends at a cabin in the area.
An autopsy is expected to take place Tuesday in Toronto.
Police have not released the victim’s name.
The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP detachment is investigating the incident.
The Trent-Severn Waterway is a canal system that connects Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay.
