Milton Ontario Canada is a town in southern Ontario about 40 km west of Toronto on Highway 401. Milton is part of the Greater Toronto Area and is the seat of Halton Region, and is on the edge of the Niagara Escarpment. Milton received a tremendous amount of publicity following the release of the results of the 2006 Census, which indicated that Milton was the fastest growing community in Canada, with a 71.4% increase in population between 2001 and 2006. If you're looking to visit Milton, there are a few events and attractions you should see, including: Milton Steam-Era, the farmer's market in downtown Milton every Saturday from May to October, the annual Milton Fall Fair, The Waldie Blacksmith Shop circa 1865, which is a working blacksmith shop with original tools and artifacts and Escarpment Country (where Milton is located), a unique setting located at the foot of the scenic Niagara Escarpment with many conservation areas offering swimming, hiking, skiing and more. |
MiltonSearch.com was created by a dynamic husband and wife team. Long-time Milton residents David Brown and Teri Van Sickle-Brown have over 27 years of combined experience in marketing and design and as the parents of two young children, wanted to get more involved in the community. After discovering how hard it was to find information about Milton businesses both on and off the internet, they decided to create a Milton-specific search engine to help connect the town's growing population to local businesses and services.
