MACC will bring 150+ young men from the Halton Catholic District School Board and Halton District School Board to interact with 150+ adult men who have experienced a variety of exciting and interesting careers.

Student participants will range from Grades 9 - 12, and will be pursuing a variety of post-secondary pathways (work, university, college and apprenticeship). Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with male mentors from multiple sectors who will act as Career Coaches to empower these young men to learn about the numerous career pathways available to them.

Kub Kar Rally 2010

Each year the Halton Area Cub Scout Groups gather together to have a Kub Kar Race for the youth in Scouting ages 8-10 and this year is no exception. This years race is set to be held on Saturday March 6th 2010 at St Andrew's Church 89 Mountainview Road South in Georgetown, ON L7G 4T9 from 9-1pm.

The race features a new 6 lane, 88 foot kub kar track and record board in which the kids have a great time chasing the cars down our new electronic track which features the times and the standings. Each car is regulated to follow specific building rules of height, width and weight. The cars are checked in early in the morning and the kids both boys and girls in cubs wait their turn for their designated race. Each car gets 3 heats and then the winners proceed on to the finals were the winners of that win trophies and are presented by a special guest of the day. Both kids and parents feel the excitement that builds that day.

Scouting has been around our communities a long time and with the change of society we want people to know we are still out there doing what Scouting has always done best. Building strong, independent leaders of the tomorrows in our communities.
