Let me guess - you were driving along Ontario St. heading north past EC Drury secondary school.... If so, I feel your pain.

Ontario St. should be at very least a 60km/hr zone, and this whole 'community safety zone' stuff is crazy. The school is so far back from the road - I've never seen a soul out walking near the road in that area. Not to mention you recieved the ticket in the middle of the night - I can't imagine you were endangering too many students at the time....

Oh well, that's Halton Regional Police for ya - it's easier to nab a few people speeding along a deserted-but-well-lit road late at night than keep tabs on, say, one of Milton's convenience stores which seem to get robbed weekly...

Thanks for checking out the site, and be nice to your Miltonian friends! (oh, and always remember to properly chew your food).

Peace, out.

Sorry to report that Milton is the only town I've almost choked to death in and the only town I've ever been busted for speeding in a community safety zone in the middle of the night on a stretch of road that should be 70km/hour. The only thing I truly love about Milton is the good friends I have there - and the rest of the place seems very pleasant (choking and tickets aside).
