One of Milton, Ontario’s signature events returns for Labour Day weekend 2011 — the 51st annual Steam Era show held by the Ontario Steam and Antique Preservers Association.
This year’s show, which runs from Friday, September 2nd until the Monday, September 5th (Labour Day), showcases member exhibits, showing off their equipment, models, cars and trucks, along with crafts and other displays for the public.
Included among the weekend’s festivities are a host of activities including: an equipment parade at the fairgrounds grandstand, an ongoing corn roast, mini tractor pulls, the night of fire spark show, a log-sawing competition and even a threshing competition. Downtown Milton will also be hosting an equipment parade on Saturday and the event’s musical attraction is Marion’s Country Band.
For more information, visit the official Milton Steam Era website.
Parking: Handicap parking is the only vehicle traffic allowed at the Robert St. Gate. All other vehicle entrance is through the Thomas Street Gate. A limited amount of parking space is available on the fairgrounds.
