Nice article, Milton Sports Guy. You’re right about Bautista – no one will give this guy the benefit of the doubt until they can stab him with a needle.

Funny – I’ve heard Keith Law a few times over the past few weeks on the FAN590 and it’s sooooo true – he disregards Bautista’s accomplishments completely and yes, has mentioned Davey Johnson every single time he’s been on.

Thanks for including the YouTube clip – wow, I feel like I was at the game – luckily not affected by the seat, food and beverage prices!

Congrats to Jose and let’s hope the Jays can build off of this season in 2011!

  2. Thanks Blue J.

I have to admit, I too was suspicious if in fact there could be some PED’s involved — and that’s baseball’s fault knowing what we know now about McGwire, Sosa, Bonds et al.

However, Bautista’s always had potential and sometimes guys do ‘just figure it out.’ He’s also never really had regular at-bats for a team over a season — just being comfortable knowing you’re playing every day can do wonders.

And yes, Keith Law is an idiot.
